Yep, a properly done plug can last and be safe as well.

Mannnn, *** dat. Youre only on two wheels as it is. If you lose one, it can get really ugly. Better be safe than sorry, IMO. Its your life your dealing with.

Road safety authorities in my statehave ruled a mushroom typeplug legal and safe if not in the sidewall.

I think, at least for me, the big concern is the carefully produced highspeed tire has a comprimise in it. The demands that we put on that thin piece of rubber is quite intense, way more than other tires. If I ONLY rode my bike for leisure and never went over the speed limits and took corners at paw-paw speed.... I'd trust a plug.
