Yes!
You will need 954 main wire harness, upper wire harness, instrument cluster, throttle bodys and it's wire harness, air box, cpu, radiator & hoses, left hand control switch, right hand control switch(or splice the wire with a new 7 wire conector, re-wire the tip over sensor, re-wire the tail section, re-locate all the relays to the tail section.
The motor bolts right into the frame.

I just did the motor swap and it worked out great.

wow. why not just find a 954 and have the benefits of a redisigned swing arm, better (arguably) rider position, more aggressive look, etc. That sounds like you are already takeing everything off of the 954 except for the frame...

Ever heard of eBay? ...But then you only care about what your bike looks like, YA POSER!
Yea the 929 I have with the 954 swing arm with the Ohlins shock, 051k forks with Ohlins internal and the 05 radial calipers and Brembo master, the Power Comander, Factory Pro V-stacks and the Micron full system,Scott damper, Galfer waves and lines...........All that together just doesn't have the right look. You must think polishing your **** is the way to go when it comes to what's Kool.

Hey gpg, I’m currently going through the 929-954 upgrade myself, I have already installed the motor and had no problems with the connectors to the main or upper harness. Why the need for the Change or am I doing something wrong??? I started the bike yesterday with no problems but it seams to be sluggish and will only rev to 7500... until I read your post I was leaning towards a new set of plugs and started looking on fleebay for a set of 954 throttle bodies as I’m still using the 929 set up, secondary thought was I’m running lean with the 929 TBI set up...

Anyway, any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry jduckworth23, I’m not trying to hijack your thread....

+1 to that... the only advice you deserve is to go get your advice somewhere else.

+2. I didn't think it was a chotch thing to say. It was a valid opinion. It seems like a lot of parts to buy!

wow I just stopped by from the 929 side of town and just wanted to say that maybe you should try there for the info you are searching for. the 954 into a 929 is a common option if something happens to our original motor and I believe it has been done with less parts from the 954.

but if you do decide to search in our section please leave the ****ty attiude here.
