engine build?
I'm not going to get into all the specifics. Its way too much to type. I built an engine. Wouldn't do it again. Rick at erion racing told me the honda cylinders are not plated from factory. Not to go larger then .25mm over. Anything more would have to be nikasill plated. Without the plating you cylinder walls will be to thin. He said the 2 best things for the 954 is high compression pistons, port/polish the head. Nothing more without spending lots. There is basically no aftermarket for the honda. I had 5lbs shaved off the crank. Titanium rods, 1mm over pistons. I was told the crank will flex to much and eat up bearings if you rode alot of miles. Not like a racer where you will tear it down and freshen it up. The bike was fun!!! rev'd fast and had plenty of power. I was at 160hp at the wheel. With a conservative break in tune. If I was to build a motor again it would be suzuki, or kawi. Huge aftermarket!! And cheaper. Any questions just ask.
