Default Whats it worth? 03 954

Hey guys i went and looked at a 03 cbr954rr . I had just sold my 94 cbr 600. To start off it was amazing and in great shape! Almost perfect with 10k miles on it. It was at a dealer and he wanted 5000 for it. I got him down to 4700 but still walked away from it. I kind of want it but it only blue books for 4100. He wouldnt take that. DO you guys think its worth it?

Also I am a little short and can only tippy toe it. Do they make shorter seats? I know i can shave mine i just dont want to mess it up. What do you guys think?

Thanks for the help!

I paid for my $3700 for my 02 with 9400 miles in 2010. It's worth what you'll pay for it lol. Me personally, I would wait and see of you can get one cheaper. Take your time and look around, there will be others. There's not much to shave off of the seat so you would probably have to buy a lowering link for it.

it's at a dealer, so you have to figure you're going to pay more money. if it's the right bike for you and you are going to keep it for a while, i wouldn't worry about paying a few hundred over what nada or kbb says.

having said that, if you keep looking, i'm sure you can find something in that price range.

just looked at conversion rate into pounds sterling here in UK and its a tad under £3000 at $4700. For a mint 03 blade with 10k on its a bargin. Buy it and keep it forever , future classic.

I purchased mine last October. It seems like the prices for these things have gone up. I haven't been able to see any for under $4000, and the ones I saw weren't in the greatest shape.

Same here, In my area of Ohio 90% of them are priced between 4,200 to 5,400. I'm glad I didn't pass up on the one I have now.

I asked $4k for mine a month ago and someone offered me 4300 to hold it for a few days for him to get down. Had many comments from other buyers after the sale saying its the nicest bike for under $6k.

Depending on what it had I say $4.5 would be good if it came with goodies. Mine did at least (full exhaust, suspension upgraded, PC, stands, etc.etc

I just paid $4300 for a mint 954, with 11,OOO miles, in Southern California. It was a nine hour drive round trip from Las Vegas. I feel very satisfied with my purchase. I see them around Las Vegas for $4500 to $5300 but not very often.

If you found a minty one and it is only a few hundered more than one with lots of blemishes I would not be concerned with KBB or nada at all.

i paid 4500 for mine so thats about the price you are gonna get a mint one from. If you buy private your gonna end up having to put new tires on it or some work something and spending more money on the bike so mite as well get it for that at the dealer and have it in ready to ride condition
