electrical problem

Default electrical problem

hey guys i was riding my 954 the other day and all of a sudden while i was riding the engine would lose power then kick up again then lose power and kick up again? i dont have a power commander but a friend of mine said his r6 did the same thing and it was his rectifier could that be the problem? just wondering if anyone on the forums had a similar problem thanks guys.

I don't get the rectifier thing. It shouldn't cause the engine to cut in and out, so long as you have a good battery.

Check for a loose ground.

first ground I'd check is the battery cable, where it attaches to the frame. That's assuming you have the battery terminals tight.
