between the cars inaccuracy and the bikes inaccuracy theres no telling what the correct milage should be on either vehicle.

I've experienced this as well. I have an 01 F4i and my buddy has an 03 600RR. Both took the same trip but had different readings. We both figured it was due to error in the speedometer as usually the odometer is driven by the speedometer ( EDIT: in cars anyways).

He could have done the sprocket change that Joey did becuase he wanted to go 193mph. That would make it read less than actual.

Check that the front tire size is correct on both vehicles, most times the odometer gets it's reading off the front wheels. If the tire size has been changed it could explain the variance as to which one is incorrect. Having worked in a tire shop before, I found this occurred fairly often when people increased or decreased their tire size.

Unless your mate monos his bike everywhere, that could account for it too of course...

Gearing changes will throw it off,you candouble check it if you want with a gps system and see what the difference is between them and see which one is more accurate.
