Cutting my erion can
Hey i have an erion slip on......i want to go for a new look, this pipe is way to long. i almost ordered the hr1 exhaust, they sound really good, but i dont know of anyone with one....so now i just want to keep mine n cut it down. Anyone have any tips? is it really that easy? any power losses? im sure its gonna be louder, maybe a little deeper. would i have re-map power commander? thanx,

i wouldn't cut the erion, personally. if you do its real easy with common tools. first make a mark on the can at the length you want. then remove the can. use a "wrap-around" (for pipe work)or a peice of cash register tape, wrap the tape around the can leaving about 3-5 inches on each side. take the two tails and line the sides up together, wiggle a couple times to make sure the paper is straight, then line up one side with your mark. wrap one tail under the other make sure the 2 sides are lined up. this will give you a guarenteed straight line mark for the cut. mark the edge. remove paper cut on line. drill the rivets out of the cap 1/8 in drill bit. set the cap over the cut and redrill the holes in short pipe then re rivit the cap on. enjoy
