Default clutch issues

ok so i changed my friction discs about 2k ago, dp clutch my mistake not going stock, anyways it started slipping the other day just a bit then kept getting worse , so i took the clutch apart discs are a little black but still within service limit, but on the inside wall of clutch basket there is a greyish gritty like oil any ideas what that could be? honda service manual says in trouble shooting that if clutch slips under acceleration maybe
Transmission oil mixed with molybdenum or graphite additive could that be it???? thanx for reading please help oh its 02 954

it could be the clutch it self did you soak the disks for 24 hr before you put them in? if not they may have eaten them selves up and that may be the grit ?
If you did soak them first the only thing I can think of is something got on the case when youhad the motor open.

yes i did soak them for 24hrs even though they claim the type of fibres they are you dont need to, think problem was misadjusted clutch i had brain fart and read manual in inches not millimeters

You say you replaced the friction disks, does that mean you left the stock metal disks in??? Stock fiber disks require soaking, Kevlar do not... BUT Kevlar also require different metal disks then stockor you will get excessive wear.

If you are going to bother to open up your engine, replace the whole clutch pack... fiber disks, metal disks and springs all the same brand. If you were rebuilding you engine would you only replace the bearings that looked wore or would you do them all?

Do half *** work and you willget half *** results!
