to change the exhaust?
alright fellow 954ers. my 03 has is bone stock except for the yoshi bolt on. I really cant even tell you which bolt on it is. my last 954 had a yoshi rs-3 slip on that I absolutely loved, it had a deep throaty sound that I really haven't heard on too many other bikes. I recently found a rs3 slip on locally, mid-pipe back. with everything on it and in decent shape. my question is will i notice a difference in power from the stock piping with the bolt on, to the rs-3 slip-on. my future plans are to get a pcIII and get her dyno tuned, keep in mind my new to me 954 gets to the house tomorrow. and i am still in Iraq
.. so i haven't even road her yet...
thanks!

I would keep the yoshi and remove the silencer at the end, you have to drill the end cap rivets then unscrew the silencer tube.. it makes it a little depper tone IMO and i like my original yoshi slip on much better after that. Also FYI i tried the flapper and exhaust mod(where you remove the tube in the downpipe) and was unhappy with both, my low end was gone after the 2 mods and top end didn't improve as far as i could tell.. Basically i'm saying keep the exhaust, get a PCIII and ride the thing! Hope the flight home goes well for ya
alright i appreciate it.so u are saying get the yoshi rs3 slip on and remove the silencer? I was scared about the flapper and servo mod, read alot about it but didnt like the idea of loosing my low range power. but i am definatly gonna get the pcIII as well as dyno tune.....got to wait till march to ride her
after she gets home im getting new pics of her...illpost em'

i dunno about the RS3, it might not have the silencer.. all my tag says is "yoshimura", not RS3 or anything else.. the PCIII seems to be optional with just a slip on. I would save you rmoney and just ride it as is, you'll probably love it!
