Well I have found the elusive chupacabra !!!!
Yes a set of rc51 sp1 rims.......yes front and back.
Here is the rear installed on my 02 954 and at cyclegear getting the tires fitted ......



I joined The rc51 forums and it paid off .
I scored them for $400 for both front and rear.
I do already have a rear so I might sell it after I get the
front wheel shimmed, fitted and powdercoated for my 954.

That's my next dilemma ? Im not sure what color im going to paint them.
first was gloss black but then I was thinking some thing that pops more.
gray or silver or something ?
any thoughts or ideas on color welcome !

Congrats on the finding the rims! They look great!

 

Recived my rc51 wheels today and yay they are Purdy!
Brian the guy on the rc51 forum I bought them from included
front and rear axels with all the spacers and rear disc and cush drive.
I sure like dealing you guys on the forum just nice guys always wanting to help!




So again I'm now on fence about color now
im thinking a silver if sorts or maybe anodize ??
Not sure if you even can anodize the stock rims ???
are the aluminum or magnesium or cast metal I have no clue LOL

Anyone ever try to anodize a stock wheel ??

 

ok here is the rc51 sp1 wheels installed on my 954.
I did not need any special spacers for fitment just the original ones.
I did use stock 954 bearings the stock axel and the stock
center collar spacer and everything fit great !

The hardest part was finding the front wheel so now I have an extra rear rc51 wheel and a stock set of the original 3 spoke.
Ill probably put a set on slicks on them for rack use..............

 

On a personal note I'm going to the circuit of the Americas on 6-22 for a track day W/ ride smart and its going to be awesome!!
I will be riding my 954
