Default BRAND NEW BRAKES!

I USED MY HAYNES MANUAL AND I HAVE A ? I HAVE THE 2003 954, AND I JUST DID MY FRONT BRAKES. I KNOW I HAVE TO BRAKE THEM IN, BUT DOES THAT INCLUDE THEM RUBBING THE ROTOR? EVEN THE HAYNES MANUAL SAYS TO BREAK THEM IN BEFORE USING THEM IN HARD STOPS, BUT THEY SEEM TO BE RUBBING THE ROTOR. NOW, I CAN RIDE, I CAN STILL PUSH IT IN NEUTRAL, BUT IT IS NOT A SMOOTH GLIDE. I'M NOT WORRIED SO MUCH ABOUT WEARING THE PADS WHILE ITS LIKE THIS, BUT WILL THAT OVERHEAT THE ROTOR AND POSSIBLY CAUSE A WORP? THANKS IN ADVANCE

1 hit your caps key

2 the front brakes will drag just a little all the time, at least in my experience. If they are dragging too hard they could cause the rotors to warp if left too long like that. I would take it apart and re examine your install if its dragging a lot, if its just slight thats common.

Give it around 40-50 miles and that rubbing will stop as far as you can notice it. Completely normal and nothin to worry about. Doesn't sound too good at first though - no biggie!

all disc brakes have a slight constent rubbing/friction but it shouldn't be noticable.. also break your brakes in slowely.. genlty stop from 10..20..30mph and then go on the highway and then break them in harder with 60-0 stops adn then cool them down again

shouldnt be problem like they said. In my experience if you used a good pad then there is also a minimal break in period.
