i put on my new brakes today but there really tight. at first i couldn't even back it up. i had to push it from the front. i rode it for a bit and its a little bit better but still tight. will it be like this till they get worn in or did i do something wrong?

The new pads are thicker, which means as you spread them in the calipers you are putting pressure on the oil in the lines which will hold the pads against the rotors until the pad material wears down or the brake fluid heats up enough to become spongy and release pressure.

If you do a quick bleed to relieve that little bit of pressure when you put the thicker pads in, it should be all good.

Remember that new brake pads require "bedding-in"
