Default best pipe without PC?

OK, on the way home from work yesterday I nearly got sideswiped by some a*&^$@ in a Mercedes SUV who apparently wasn't never learned about checking his blind spot (no I wasn't riding in it, he had just approached from the right). Luckily for me the super quick roll on power of the 954 in top gear gets me out of the spot in a heartbeat. Anyway, my wife has commented that she can't even hear my bike when she is driving alongside me (bone stock except flapper mod) and I think that some exhaust noise would be an added safety feature. I swear, the wind noise is louder than the motor at 60mph. What is the best can that will run good w/o PC and dyno tune? I am quite happy with the power of this bike stock (also have a 520 conversion -1 in the front) so it's not about 'mo power. Just some noise! thanks in advance for recommendations.

anything will work as far as noise go. If its just a slip on your won't need to remap anything.

get a d&d if u wanna let everybody know ur on the road, alotta people dont like the d&d cuz of the loud noise but i think its the sh*t. u can get any pipe whether its a full system or slip on without a pc u just wont get peak performance outta the pipe but it sounds like u want noise not performance slightly!

d and d is super loud but if you need noise when you are on the throttle and in high rpm go with 2 bros....i can wake up my neighbors when i am on the throttle or i can cruise in and my wife cant even hear me when i come in the garage....

two bros is nice for the 954's and 929s.. d&d is loud, but there are alot other choices.. slip ons dont really need PCIII but always a better idea... but a slip on is a nice add on, i had scorpion.. little to quite till u got fully on it..

I just put a Yoshimura RS-3 on my bike. It is not super loud at idle but is heard well at higher speeds. I spent 325 bucks on this thing and it sounds awesome. I had a D&D on my F2 and it was really loud but did not like the tone. Yoshi really has a good tone and it is my personal preference. There is a link out there somewhere where you can hear sound clips of all of the different pipes out there. Bobjoe probably knows where its at ask him
