but don't buy the aftermarket fairing stays - they don't fit or work. they're the ones on ebay that are said to be stronger - they don't fit. don't waste your time - i know from expirience. you could brace it and epoxy it for the short term (when i bought mine, it's fairing stay was cracked and that's what i did) or buy an OEM one
glad the fork issue wasn't there.

just find a nice one on ebay.... you can get them anywhere from 300-400
and i'm contemplating building a tank out of a wrecked one, so i may be looking to sell mine (pretty damn good condition titanium tank)

Well, a little bit of an update, thanks to Conrice I now have a nice undented tank 
Also put on some Galfer braided lines with Maxima brake fluid. I changed the plugs last night and the previous owner had autolite coppers in the bike 
needless to say those were pitched and now have the factory NGK's back in place.
Still need to get a new thermostat and flush the cooling system, was looking at refilling the system with Engine Ice.
Have a few other misc "goodies" on the way too.
Only new pics I've got was when I stopped by my buddy's appt.
