954 oil pressure/idle problem
About a three weeks ago I started revamping my 954. I put in a new clutch, new plugs, new chain and sprockets, and new oil/filter. The cam chain tensioner was ticking so I replaced it too. I put everything back together and fired her up and it ran an idled fine. About an hour later I went to take it for a spin, fire it up, and the idle is way too low (barely running) until I revved her up a little bit. Shortley after, the oil light started flashing then went solid before I turned it off. Anyone have experience with this??? Idk if it's a bad sensor or it really has no oil pressure. I'm scared!!

red light? or oil light?
you can idle it up, there's an adjustment screw that comes off of the throttle bodies, look below the frame by the servo motor, you'll see a **** that can turn both ways, thats the idle adjuster.
as far as a bad sensor, it could be a bad one, but i wouldn't count that as being it. unfortunately, the only real way to tell is to hook up an oil pressure test gauge to the oil line right before the sensor (you'll see a bolt that screws into the motor directly above the clutch)

Exactly what happened to me. The MAP sensor vacuum hose was unplugged from the airbox. Funny that you thought the light was the oil light though lol.
