the 954 and MPGs
that sounds more reasonable. just ran a tank out today and the light came on at 88. most of my riding is done between school and work (short trips ie. 5-10 city). hope i find something to explain it pretty soon
Check that the sensor isn't screwy, too. Sometimes, my light comes on at 75 for three or four tanks, then back to normal. I ignore it until I get to about 120.
I've had it come on at 20, too.

Yeesh, I must be riding like a grandma. I get about 150 to the light in my "commuting" weeks (20 miles a day). I can sometimes get 180-200 if I'm cruising peacefully on the highway (during a trip to TN last year, for example).
Then again, I'm all stock, too... no pipes, no sprockets, etc... just a Givi top-case on the back.

yjk, earlier in this thread, someone said ~25 miles, so probably about a gallon.
ghart, I get ~120-130 miles when I'm mostly commuting (10 miles each way in stop and go), which will usually translate to 32-35 miles per gallon. How many gallons are you filling up with? If you are putting in more than three gallons with only 90 miles on the clock, something isn't right...
I've gotten up to 150-160 miles on a tank, but only when I'm doing all highway in good weather.
If your mileage is really that bad, check your chain, tire pressure, bearings (get your tires off the ground and spin the tire), oil (make sure it's clean???), and whatever else you can think of. Always check the easy stuff first!!! Are you putting in regular or premium gas? Only run premium...
