A co-worker of mine bought a cbr 600 rr after I told him he should start off on a smaller bike.He has riden dirt bikes for a few years and thought he could handle a 600 street bike.Brand new bike less than 150 miles and he just totaled it.Panicked when he saw a small pick up truck and hit the throttle instead of brakes and launched right at the truck smashing into the side.Lucky for him he did not get hurt at all.Now he wants to get a smaller bike.Only if he would have listened to me things could have been different.Do what you want it is YOUR LIFE after all.

sold a zx10r to a guy, first bike and i warned him it had a hard power curve. 1 week later he was dead. hit a semi trailer.. i felt so bad and still do but he was doing 80+ in a 35. It was his fault because he was being irresponsible with it, thought he was invincible.

this was an extreme situation though

I started on dirt bikes when i was 6. bought a cbr600RR when I was 15, rode it for 1 year and was pushing it hard. Got a Ducati 998 after the 600 and I had a hard time handling the torque. now im on a 954 and its a lot of bike
