I had a 01 929 and yup.....it happened at 90mph on the highway - Rt3 NJ 4:00am
I was lost - Looked at up signs when i look back a small turn got me - the damage was unbelieveable - i eneded up with both ankles broken, 1 surgery-1dislocated & broken wrist surgery..

all thats left to the bike is Tank,frame,motor,radiator... forks cracked in 3spots,trees split open, both rims are pancakes, subframe broke, swing arm might be good

So back to topic - i still have motor and thinkin about gettin a blown 954 and puttin 29 motor in it.. Anyone helpful tips?

and yea i saw the typo on the title of post.

 

get a600 frame. a newer year and put the 929 motor in it.. thatll be something.. you are going to make t make custom motor mounts either way goodluck

 

i dont know how often you can find 954 frames as well as 929 frames. those bikes arent as common as you think to find frames only. try to see if you can use another frame of a more common bike

 

i don think he was trying to find "just a frame"i believe he is looking for a bike with no motor to put his motor in. And you see 954 frames on ebay here and there but a 600 would be ALOT cheaper my .02
