i may be picking up a 954 engine that does not have the throttle bodies,is there a set of carbs that will bolt right up to the head without too much bs?thanks

carbs? are you serious???? WHY??? Ebay a set of TBs, once you go Fuel Injected you never go back to carbs.....

Because it's cheaper. He'll need the ecm and wiring harness for fuel injections.

that was the original idea,to save money,but after searching ebay,the computer isnt too expensive and the tb`s are rather cheap too.unless im missing something.the carb idea is still possible tho,so any ideas on those is appreciated

Ok maybe i got a little confused here. Are you trying to do a motorswap on your f3? I didnt mean to come off like a dick.....

no sweat dude,we`re good.im going to put it in a drag frame i have and since i know jack about fi,i figure carbs would be easier to deal with.

I would buy all the electronics to run the motor as it was designed. Staying with the fuel-injection setup will allow more fine tuning with a Power Commander and give you more power than the carb setup. Plus you can add ignition modules and quickshifters to the Power Commander.

I like to drag race and just added the quickshifter to my 954 which will allow me full throttle clutchless upshifts at the drag strip. I am guessing this will gain a few tenths off my times due to not having to let off the throttle just a little to shift.
