its not that bad....

.... but it is a lot more fun....

if a cop is ever behind you, you seriously have to use TERRIBLY little throttle pulling away from stops... but -1/+2 is a really good combo for me - i'm sure another tooth out back wouldn't make too big of a difference.

so just be assured, you'll think it's too much maybe at first - but just remember - just switching from +3 to +2 isn't going to make a whole lot of difference.

I use a -1 +4 and yes the bike will get light very easily. With good throttle control you'll be fine.I use that set up for the tracks around my area to get out of the corners quicker.

I'm exaggerating slightly, but it's a little scary the first time you try to accelerate while leaned over.

I have -1/+2 on my other bike, but I haven't really noticed the difference. Maybe because they are different make bikes etc. Did you feel the difference when you changed it?

yes.

when you get on it, it's very noticeable. but i have enough wrist control to make it not noticeable when i'm stuck in traffic though.

it's all in how you push it. if you come out of a corner and grab a lot of throttle - you should definitely feel a difference. if you accelerate slowly though, you'll probably only notice that you shift quicker

didn't your bike come with it? (you're talking about your gix right?) if you haven't ridden with stock gearing, you may not notice

You wont see a huge difference with one less tooth in the rear. I had that on my old 600rr and it had great acceleration. Top speed drops a little
