my friend has a 1000RR, with very close to the same gearing -1 +4 i think, He is pulling wheelies up at 115mph, and riding them out sometimes up to 130+mph, and powering up second gear wheelies. He still can hit over 170 mph with that gearing too, so go for it, but its going to be torquy as Hell man!

if you are just riding streets leave it stock geared or just go -1 in the front. There is no need for big gears until you are already doing slow stuff. I had my street bike geared +10 and just last week I put it back to stock and I won't ever go back to big gears for the street.. My lot bike is -1 +15 though but it sounds like its gonna blow on the highway

with stock chain go -1 +2 but don't go any more than that for learning to go slow cause it will be real twitchy and make it harder..

+1 what scott said. learn to ride the brake and take them slow on stock gearing. it will make the transition to bigger gears way easier.
