Default 02 954 after riding a 900RR. Rpm question

I had a 1999 CBR900RR(micron exhaust, no other mods i am aware of)) for a couple years and had it mastered and now I have a 2002 CBR954(devil double barrel exhaust, no ther mods i am aware of)) and don't feel a huge difference in power. I did find myself shifting around 9000 to 9500rpm....am i shifting too early? Will i notice the hp more if i rev it out to around 11,000? I don't like redlining my bikes cause they are plenty fast enough

I do when I'm cruising too (shift around 5K) but when me and a few friends were hitting it hard on a smooth straightaway and his 98 900RR was running dead even with me....I just think I was shifting too soon

Don't wait too long on 1st. Shift out of 1st around 6-7rpm.....take 2nd to 8-9rpm...there's your power!!!! Do not ease up on throttle from 1st to 2nd. When in 3rd? Your already going too fast for street.

Thanks for the input guys...i am just trying to figure out where i am going to squeeze every inch of the power out to show the power advantage over my old 900. I am not a newbie and have been riding since age 5. Letsride you dyno tuned your bike and it made 151 hp to the wheels? At what rpm? That's a lot of power and def more than needed for the street. Again thanks for no smart comments and giving respectful answers.
