why doesnt my bike have a rev limit

Default why doesnt my bike have a rev limit

so the other day i wasnt paying attenion and i noticed my bike will go way past redline is this normal ?

The lack of computer control would be my guess.

I could be wrong, but I thought out bikes could go some past redline. The rev limiter won't kick on until after that. Of course, I've never pushed it way passed to find out....

i've done it. peg the tach and the rev limiter will kick in. it'll scare the crap outta you, and i don't recommend it... though that was on a suzuki sv650, but i'm pretty sure the 929 would be similar.
