I mentioned in another thread that I use Rotella T 5W-40 diesel truck oil in my bikes. It works great, is fine for the clutch, and cheap. It's in a blue 1-gal for about $20-25. I usually buy a cheaper filter as well. Most crappy filters today are already better than the good filters in 2000-2001 when our bikes came out. I use the cheapest filter possible in my 4Runner, and it still runs great with 260k on it. 85358 is the part number for the filter at CarQuest, should be PH6017A in a FRAM, and M1-110 for Mobil 1 if you're fancy.

I wouldn't buy a FRAM. I have read bad things about cardboard components of the filter and faulty anti-drainback valves.

I remember the other thread too, and I said something about Honda GN-4 I think. Now I use Amsoil 10-40 synthetic and a Honda filter.

Autozone filter. Been using them for years without a hiccup.
