alright guys first off, I'm a noob. ha ok with that said I just bought an 01 929RR (hence the screename) and the only mod it has done to it is a D&D pipe. it seems like it's running rich cause there's carbon building up on the end of the pipe, nothing terrible but it's noticable. with a carbed bike I know I'd have to go through and jet it and stuff but what do I do with this FI bike? something with the computer? I'm new to this whole thing so please be gentle

 

look for a power commander. It will give you a map for your bike. It is a little computer that fits in your trunk and plugs into your bike they usually run around $300

 

yeah I've heard of those. seems they work pretty well. other than the pc, is it fine to run my bike without any other mods? I know running a carbed bike with a pipe and filter may cause it to run lean which isn't good. do I not have to worry about that stuff since its FI?

 

I need a power commander for mine also it's been running rich also. i've put about 5000 miles on this pipe without one and it runs fine. but I'm also ordering one soon. Because it can't be great for it
