Default Stock exhaust + PC

I am noticing that the standard ECU map has a number of hesitation spots on partial throttle settings (stock 2001, OEM air cleaner + OEM exhaust).

Does anyone know if a PC will smooth this out? I know that there is a "stock" map, I was just wondering if anyone has actually used it.

TIA

Not on a 929, but on my GSX-R i put one on when it was stock and threw in a "stock pipe, stock air filter" map (not the Stock Suzuki map, it was quite a bit different) (As in not the 000 map) and it made a noticable difference in throttle response and mid range power. I doubt highly that it gained anything on top, but in the 2-7k range it woke it up nicely. I recommend it.

Thanks, GE. I figure that the stock map, not the null map, might do something like that: better fuelling and remove the emissions soft spots.

You got it.......that's exactly what it did. Richen it in the middle at say 10-30% throttle and lean it out on top at 100% where it runs rich to keep it cool from running lean in the middle. Much better.

So I got an old PCII via eBay and installed it today. Wow! What a difference on partial throttle. Much smoother idle and through the lower part of the rev range. Yet to try it out in the top third. More later.
