Default Scotts vs. GPR steering dampner

I've heard that 929's are prone to head shake or front end wobble. Which steering dampner is best Scotts or GPR? I've heard Scotts offers more adjustability and I know the GPR's come in different colors whereas Scotts is only one color.

Depnding on the look you are after, you might also consider and Arrow.

And the headshake thing is overrated, IMO. They have a pretty steep head angle, and they can get a little loose when powering up over bumps, though it is not too hard to ride around that. If I was going to spend time on the track, that is when I would put down my $$$.

I have the Hyperpro RSC and have zero complaints. Very easy to adjust (even when riding)
And made a large improvement in my confidence and control in heavy leaned turns

Yea, I read a lot of reviews, that mentioned head shake on the 929, but I never experienced it...from wheelies (little ones as I'm still practicing), high speed runs (over 115mph) and canyon stuff. But since I read so many reviews regarding this problem, I ended up with a Scotts. I did feel a big difference once I had the Scotts installed. Steering is a lot more secure...

I currently ride Scotts, and have tried Hyper-pro. If you go Hyper-pro I recommend getting the RSC model over their original version. I bought one directly after a headshake I experienced powering out of a corner. A small bump set it off and I recovered, but I never want to have that feeling again if I have the means to prevent it. Also, once you buy one, it nice to just pull it off and buy a new mounting kit to put on your new bike whenever that may come along.

ANY damper is better than NO damper when it comes to 929 and 954's for sure. I have both the 929 and 954 and will never ride again without my Scotts. Once u ride with a damper, u will never ride without one again. IMO, GPR is just as good as Scotts. You pay for the name in most cases. I only bought my Scotts because i couldnt pass it up for $150 with 2 mounting kits (one on the 954 and one on the 929)...Lucky me!!!!!!!!!....It's going on my F4i also...Thats just how much i like my damper....=-)

PS: Scotts damper is Gold.......Have u ever seen anything but a gold crown on the kings head, hehe....=-)
