i want to paint my frame black like the erion frame.. any color codes or special paint i gotta use???

 

etch primer would be good to use on the bare aluminum with it scuffed really good.

 

I'm not an expert, but would powder coating be better for this type of application?? Just curious.

 

I just powder coated my frame, wheels, swingarm and small parts and in my opinion its the way to go!

Powder Coat is the best way but if you don't want to strip it all the way down then paint is good.

 

If you paint, you'll want to use satin black paint. Too much gloss and it will look cheesy IMO. On my F3, I used Rustoleum Tough something (can't remember the name exactly) and it had a slightly textured finish, which was exactly what I wanted. Looked very similar to factory black frames.
