I want my frame+swingarm black
I don't want to deal with taking the bike apart to powdercoat for obvious reasons. but I love the look of a black frame and swingarm. is there any way to paint or dye my frame? If this is a stupid question, please let me know. thanks
Without taking your bike apart, I do not know of anyway to paint your frame/swingarm black without making it look very Ghetto! A black magic marker!
With no riding in our cold winters, that is the perfect time to pull bikes apart and powdercoat the frame. I have done that to a few bikes and if done over the winter, you don't miss out on riding season.
Sorry there is not really an answer to your question. You really need to pull the bike apart.

I know. I know. I'm just being lazy. I've taken apart cars and trucks and jeeps. Just never taken apart something I'm scared to mess up. If anyone has a write up on disassembly, I would love to read it. Just mainly worried about pulling the motor and primary.
Can the frame be painted, or does it need to be powdercoated? If so, how? a certain type of paint, technique, style. I just don't want to f**k it up. I love my baby.

I know this sounds bad but, does anyone know about how much powdercoating it all would be if I just took my bike to a place without the plastic and said "do it". It sounds lazy, but my son and 12 hr. swingshift take up a lot of time. Just wondering on a ball park. Thanks guys
