We'll I think the problem lies deep in the engine sounds like you fried your brain out. This is caused from letting the bike run for fifteen minutes. radiators don't work well sitting still if I recall.

The fan should have come on and cooled it down though.

Maybe air in the system made a steam pocket, causing an overflow-like conditon.

Steam is hotter than liquid.

If the bike's cool enough, I would take off the coolant cap, start the bike and let it idle for 7-10 minutes, see if any air bubbles surface or if the coolant level has dropped enough to warrant adding some. See where you're at then.

And yes, the fan should have kicked in...check the fuse for that. If it's blown then (with the bike OFF) see if you can spin the fan by hand. Sometimes pebbles canwedge thefan so itdoesn't operate and the result is blown fuses.

im not sure if the fan kicked on i was in the back garage while it was running and my dad found it and said it was spraying out antifreeze so he turned it off but i rode it to the back garage today to do more work and after i got to the back and let it sit for like 30 seconds in started to idle at like 4500 so i shut it off...while i was replacing the plugs today i also checked my thermostat to see if it was bad and it wasnt its works fine so im kinda worriednow about a warped head or something drastic from the overheat but will check the fans
