hi guys i just bought a 2001 929 and for some reason it wont run its turning over and getting fuel i checked over all the wires everything is connected but i was looking at the map senor and it just seems to be hanging on the side of the air box . i would think some part of this should be in the air box right?

yea it wasent running when i got it ? any input

 

Is the battery fully charged? if not it won't have enough power to support the cranking and the fuel injection itself.

 

check how much oil is in it. when i first got mine i changed the oil and put in too much by accident, it fouled the plugs and would turn over but not start. if i gave it enough gas it would sputter and backfire but not start. i had to drain the oil and replace it then pull all the plugs and clean them, it fired right up. try that out it worked for me.

 

yea im thinking the plugs might be fouled thats the only thing left unless there is absoutly no compression but i can fell it coming out the pipe... whats the best way to pull the plugs on this bike that cross bar is kinda in the way
