Default LED Turn Signal Flasher

I have LED turn signals front and back now, and I had put the resistors on the front, and didnt want to go thru the trouble in the back, so I got one of these:

MOTRAX FLA**** LED TURN SIGNAL EQUALIZER

Removed the resistors from the front, installed the new signals in back, and they flash exactly the same rate as stock. Takes about 5 to 10 minutes to install, simple plug in. Replaces the stock turn signal relay.

The resistors work, but you need 4 of them, they draw more current, and they do get hot! If they are too close to wires or fairing you could have something melt, especially if you forget one when its on (which we all do now and then). The relay eliminates the need for resistors and no heat problems, and the signals use alot less power since they dont have resistors drawing current to fool the stock relay.

Anyway, just an FYI for those of us using LEDs.

You can either use the resistors (which come with the turn signals), or simply plug one of those is. I originally installed the resistors, but removed them and went this route because I didn't want the added hassle of 4 resistors (one per signal, front and back). This is a simple plug in which allows you to use any signal.

Do you need to? No. But its easier and less to worry about than using the resistors.

You need one. You unplug the flasher relay located behind the windshield (remove the windshield). There are two relays, the flasher relay is the one on the left. Unplug it and plug this one in and you are done. 5 to 10 minute job.

j/w what big of a difference does this make. i just put it in and i couldnt tell, the leds are dim as hell unless i rev the bike up a lil. is that what its suppose to do? it does that for both stock and aftermarket relay. is it just b/c i have the 2 resistors on each light also?? and after i put that new relay on my ticking went away lol. p.s. where do i mount it at?

You do NOT need the resistors, take them out. Just plug the relay in and use a peice of double sided tape and thats it.
