Default Key Question

Hey guys i was unlocking the storage compartment and it messed my key grooves up.. I only have one key.. No i'm worried about it getting worn down to the point where it wont even turn.. IF i need another key.. do i have to buy a new ignition setup?..... it would be nice to have a spare.. advice..

You should be able to go to a locksmith and have a new key made without a problem

capt is right.....I went to the local locksmith and had a key cut that works better than my slightly bent original for like $5 /copy

Good options, other than that, grease up the clasp that grips the underside of the seat, and push your hand down on the rear of the seat when you turn the key to release pressure on the locking mechanism.

Mine is starting to twist up pretty good too... you'd think Honda would come up with some stronger material to guild their keys[:@]

My original one broke, and now my spare is twisted. I better get this taken care of too.

Hay guys very suprised to read you can get a bike key cut at a lock smiths cause in uk you can't get any vehicle key what so ever cut you have to send off to the maker to get it done i think it a security thing i tryed but no one would do it mad eh!!!!!!
