I think you misunderstood, he said the port & polish was $600.00. He didn't give a price on the turbo. Turbos & superchargers usually run about $4,000.00+ like johndoe said.

this has been an interesting thread and it is getting tougher on a 929 to keep up with the newer 1Ks. I have a 01 929 with a full Arata, removed flapper and pare valve , PCIII USB -1/+2 520 sprockets stock air filter as the Dyno showed better runs stock over K$N and when racing my buddy on his 05 GSXR 1K I can get him thru 125mph or 3rd gear, then he jumps about 12 bike lenghts out and from 145 up we keep about the same gap, now way to beat but sure love making him earning his keep and all it takes is one mistake and I can get him at the end.

I find this interesting. He didnt say what year R1, so I can base it upon that, but my 99 900RR will out run my neighbors stock 03 R1. It's pretty close, but he gets beat. We go from 2nd gear roll on's so it eliminates any wheelieing and is pure power. As for track riding, that is totally different and depends too much on rider ability than anything else. But for simply out running him, mine will do it, I cant imagine a 929 should have much issue with this. All I have is a full exhaust, K&N filter and -1 up front and proper jetting of course. Huh. Interesting. Let me know how it goes.
