HID Conversion
Haven't seen this topic for the 929's in a while. A friend of mine just installed two HID's on his Triumph. Looks nice.
Doing a little research, many say to only change one of the three bulbs to HID as it'll overload the system. I don't understand this if the HID's themselves draw less power than stocks. I'd like to change all three, but that might get too expensive.
What's the best kits to get??? Who sells the least expensive kits??? Someone said get the H2 kit for cars.
Comments???

theres a place in ny called topspeed http://www.tspny.com/ they have hids for 100 shipped with true 1 yr warrenty mine were flickering tooooo much went in and traded for a new set no questions asked. ! all colors and applications fully plug and play with ur harness and they have the superrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr slim brains smaller than a i phone!
im curious to see if anyone turns the high beams into the running lights, and use the middle as a bright...I think it may look cooler coming down the road. I'm not sure if they are aimed higher, or just higher wattage brights
i like the deep blue ones but im gettin sick of them might go with bright white later on.. the good thing about these hids are they come with extension wires so u can put the brain futher back and i think u can call them and ask for extra extensions... so if u want u can have just the hids in the front and pull the wires way back into ur trunk to store the brains or the side of ur tail and no one will ever see dem!
The only problem I see with most HID kits, are that they dont have a relay so that it gets its start up power straight from the battery. I have HID's on my truck and it has a relay so that i pulls the start up power straight from the battery. HID's use less power when running but the start up pull is a lot higher and over time can cause problems in your wiring. Here is the website that I ordered my HID's for my truck from and my buddy ordered HID's for his R1. From what I can tell from the website is they don't have a kit yet for the 929 but when I get ready to buy some, I am going to call them and see if they can make a custom kit.
