may i ask what speed in what gear? 40mph use gear 3 or 4?
enter 25mph turn use gear 2? 60mph use gear 5?

well, I know this is kind of preferences.. i just want to know what most people use

also, i hear a little sound when I the engine goes to 5 rpm. kind of weird there is a little sound once it hit 5 rpm.

I also hear weird sound when I go to gear one while holding clutch
example: 70 mph hold clutch and break then down shift to gear one

 

It all depends on a lot of things..

Cruising at 40mph im in 2nd gear.

Entering a 25mph turn use gear 2 ? If your doing 25mph, i would be in 1st or 2nd.

60mph use gear 5? If im cruising at 60mph 5th or 6th gear. If im taking turns in twisties at 60mph its more like 3rd gear, maybe 2nd depending..

The noise at 5k could be the CCT making a little noise. Like a BB bouncing around in a can ?

Is the noise when you go into 1st gear a hard knock almost ? If so it's normal.

ALso if your doing say 70mph coming off the interstate and your slowing to a stop, you can skip down to like 3rd and let engine braking help you slow down, so your not peddling through 6 gears when your stopping.

 

40mph - out of the hole. 1st gear, i dont shift til 70mph.
Cruising at 40mph.....2nd gear.
entering a 25mph turn.....streets = 2nd gear...stwisties = 1st gear
Cruising at 60mph..3rd gear... twistes at 60 mph...2nd or 3rd...sharp turn = 2nd, big turn = 3rd.
i like riding with high rpm but in lower gear..more control..

 

i hear that noise too... i was tripping at first..sounds like something bouncing in the can..

 

it depends on your riding. in town, 1st gear under 25, above 25 to 35/40 3rd

now out of town, 1st gear till 60, 2nd to 80.. I normally cruise in 5th outside of town, but if Im ripping up the streets, who knows what gear Im in. lol
I normally hit curves in 2nd -3rd gear, but my riding level is good.
