I was going to learn abouit replacing inverted seals, but I ended up finding a great deal on aset of new forks so I guess I'm gonna have to put that on hold.

If they're anything like standard forks, should be a simple breeze.

Do one at a time, be mindfull of your parts and pieces and you'll be fine.

I'll be a sunofabitch.

I'm gonna hunt those two down last year that tried to argue with me about changing seals on inverted forks... SIMPLER THAN STANDARDS! Hell you don't even have to remove these from the damn triple clamp...

Goldenboy - when I did mine, I wasn't privvy to much in the way of supporting the bike up either. I used and old car tire, couple of 2x4's and a motorcycle stand.

For two people...

Raise the rear wheel, place the tire under the oil pan/exhaust (where it lies under the pan), and start adding boards. Have a buddy lift the front wheel as much as possible to get the other boards in there. Once they're in place let the bike gently onto it. Now, take the stand off the rear and the front should rest right up in the air. Perfect.

Just be mindfull that you don't have the best support in the world and you'll be fine. The most you'll have to torque on anything is the pinch bolts on the upper and lower triple. They don't give much fight - you'll be fine.

When you're done do it all in reverse and take the bitch for a ride!

Wouldn't do the sliders thing - just me, I guess. If they were really long then fine but they're so smooth that I wouldn't trust them to not slide around.

Now if they are grooved or something maybe, but I dunno.

ha ha that's funny **** kid. I would be pissed too. I've changed my front tire this way it works. screw it, park it on 12 and then they're eye level.
