Default NEED HELP PLEASE-WONT START!

I took my 9 apart overe the winter for powder coat and am just now getting everything back together! I took the tank all the way off in order to get my main frame off and took the whole rear off.. When i took the tank off i drained all the fuel out of it and left it sitting. So I put everything back together tonight and it wont start! At first the battery was dead and wouldnt turn over, so i charged it, and now the bike turns over it just doesnt fire. Any ideas?

I am leaving it on the trickle charge until tommorow night when i get home from work

Do you have to prime the fuel or any other stupid things that i dont know that im just missing? Thanks for the help in advance

since you did a complete tear down i will suggest first off... recheck everything. sounds like it is probably something really simple. for starters , do you hear the fuel pump prime? is your BAS (bank angle sensor, or "tip" over sensor ) hooked up correctly ?

Don't have a lot of experience with bike engines, but do with injected cars. Sometimes when doing a swap and the engine sits a while the injectors stick. If the simple stuff checks out, see if you can manually fire them to be sure they click. Also sometimes taking a small dowl rod and tapping them lightly frees them. As said, don't know if thats it or if you can even get to them, never had mine tore that far apart yet. Am tomorrow for plugs, oil, etc. Hope that gives you some ideas on top of Havoc.

yea guys, thanks!
fyi- the fuel pump does kick on and all that good stuff! as far as the sensors- will the bike turn over and act like its gonna start if one of those sensors are off? It turns over well, just doesntactually fireup! You know when you start up every timethe bike makes the noise before its gonna start, and then fires, mybike just isnt "fireing" up....Im gonna check the plugs and that minor stuff, other than that, if it doesnt start, I odnt know where to go next

i know after i put mine back together from paint, i had to hit the starter a couple times to get the fuel actually into the lines and stuff, but then it cranked right up after about the 4th or 5th lil burst of the starter.... not sure if it helps, just my 2cents.

Have you checked to make sure that you haven't crimped your fuel lines?

Check all your ground connections and make sure they are getting good ground. Also let us know if your fuel pump is priming or not. If you can check for spark also by grounding a plug to the block to see if you are getting spark. These things will help narrow down the problem.
