First Post as a new member
Hey guys, as the title states this is my first post. What the title doesn't say is that I've been using these forums for the past year or so. I bought a 01 929 last year as my first bike and no I didn't have any experience riding dirt bikes or motorcycles, just experience on the bicycle! Anyway, I'm 26 and currently a pharmacy student near Corpus Christi, TX. I've always wanted a bike and with the help of a classmate who has an RC51, convinced me to get the 929. I'm extremely happy with it and in the process of restoring some of it's features.
This forum is a great source of info and has helped me in my decision to get a damper which I am ordering today. I had wobbling issues for a week or so and then it never happened again but I'd rather be safe than sorry. What really stopped me in pouring money into this bike was that I figured I'd sell this bike when I graduate and get a new one, but after riding it, I've decided to keep it and invest in it. Many Honda enthusiasts really believe that the 929 is a classic bike and that's always a plus.
Again I just wanted express my appreciation for the information on these forums. The manual was awesome, especially the electrical diagram, and you guys had a lot of information on the dampers as well as sprocket / chain combinations and regearing questions. I'd post pictures but it's not something you guys haven't seen but I'll start posting besides just reading through the forums!
