I just bought a 2000 CBR 929 and was wondering what i should get as far as gear and things i need and dont need it has a full leo vince kit already and a steering damper.any words of advice would be nice

 

don't rip on the throttle. Ease into things and learn what the bike can do. As for gear, what gear don't you already have?

Street Riding Gear Minimums (in my opinion)

Good Motorcycle Jacket
Helmet (DOT & Snell Approved)
Good gloves
Riding boots
Some kind of riding jeans

For the bike:

Power Commander if it doesn't already
Full look over to make sure all things are good on the bike

Whenever I get a new bike, I bleed brakes, change pads and change oil. THose are the minimums I do just to make sure that all things are new and well ready..

 

First thing is to gear up. No matter what weather or where you're going gear up. Other than that learn the bike and don't ride outside your skills.
