exhaust cone "?
I'm new in this forum but there's already 3months I'm reading your posts...
First of all, I'd like to thanks all of you for all the good informations you've given and a special thanks to bignibb for sharing the link ofthe Scorpion muffleron ebay...
Well, now this is the question. All of you certainly cut the cone in the exhaust but when you cut it, there's still a piece of tube welded inside the outer one(the one which guide the muffler). The question is: did you leave that piece of tube or did you take it off?And does anyone know if there's any gain or loss even small? Maybe just noisier...? Tell me everything you know, I like technical answer.
thanks guys

Depends on what your looking for.
You can cut the can and take all the packing out, leaving the inner tube to have a loud exhaust with a small gain in top end but loosing low end torque to the same value(no more back pressure).
The other option is making a shorty pipe (stunters do it for clearance) cut the pipe to the desired length leave packing in and recap with new rivets with no noticable change in performance just a little louder (within reason of coarse).

I don't have any intentions to cut my titanium scorpion muffler, but justthinking about that piece of tube. This is a picture of it
