E.B.C. CTZ10S Battery *beware*
I needed a replacement for my OEM Yuasa battery on my 2001 CBR 929RR. The Yuasa was around $100 so I checked eBay and found what is supposedly a replacement sold by MotoBatteries.com. The manufacturer is E.B.C. (European Battery Company) which is made in China. The part number is CTZ10S. Price paid including shipping was $39.90. My first battery arrived DOA and would not take a charge with my Battery Tender. MotoBatteries.com told me to ship the dead battery back and I would have to wait until they received it, checked it, determined it was DOA and then ship a new one...this could be an additional 2 weeks that I'd have to wait. BS.
The replacement battery took a charge and lasted about 100 miles. Winter came and I connected my Battery Tender trickle charger to maintain the battery while I wasn't riding. I tried to start my bike last week. Dead. I tried to charge the battery, nothing. It is completely dead. I tried to call MotoBatteries.com at different times in the day and keep getting their answering machine. I emailed twice, no response.
The battery is a piece of **** and the company sucks. Don't buy from them.

if you have a bateries plus near you, the carry a battery called Xtreme and its sealed and pre-charged and I think they go for around $50 bucks and I havnt had an issue with it in my yzf600r.
I havnt needed one for the 9 yet but it will be the battery that I put in it when the time comes,

I bought the replacement battery from BatteriesPlus (Xtreme something) last weekend because it carried a 12 month warranty. Price including tax was about $85...I went with the 12 rather than the 10 because it had more cold cranking amps (+20) and was only $3 more.
Unfortunately with motorcycle batteries you get what you pay for...
