Yeah I went OEM on my stator, but I dunno - it's a gamble either way. I've seen aftermarket stuff that was even better than OEM, but not always.

I always urge guys (because this charging system issue comes up so much) to install some kind of voltmeter on their bikes ( I installed this one - http://www.casporttouring.com/store/...de=Electronics) . With that, you can at least monitor the system and you know if you're seeing 14.5 volts or so with the engine running, you're OK. AND if it says 10 volts you can have some warning that you're running on battery alone and need to pull over INSTEAD OF DYING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE F--KING HIGHWAY LIKE I DID!!!!
(stupid stator....) Man, when a 929's runnin right, we're the KINGS of the ROAD, but when it craps out, you're an a-hole on a skateboard!

haha and quite a heavy skateboard. Thats a good little product. I'll probably get one eventually, if not on this bike then on my next one.
