Cutting the CONE

Default Cutting the CONE

I've read here something about cutting the cone off if it's still there, I looked in mine and it is. Why do I want to sawzall it off?

the instructions for my 2bros exhaust told me to cut it off before installing

mine as well, I had a D&D and it went right over the cone but my Two-Brothers would not so the cone had to go!

If you unbolt the exhaust can (ex. 2bros muffler) you would see a cone shaped cap over the pipe with holes in it... the instructions for twobros say to cut it off so the pipe will fit. Since you have the pipe already i could only assume its cut off already on yours

the guy at muzzys says the reason the cone is there is to push the exhaust into the packing more there for muffling the sound and making the bike quieter because we all know that the 929 is a noisy beast...

I bought a used 2 bros and had to cut my cone off to make it fit as well.
