Default clutch lever issues

so my OEM clutch lever mount took a crap on me and I went to Honda to replace it. Bought the new style one that they listed for my bike with the rectangular type clutch switch. I have aftermarket adjustable levers and they fit perfectly on the old style OEM mount but they are too thick to use on the new mount.

Anyone had any issue like this?

BRACKET, HANDLEBAR
53172-KT8-710

this appears to be the correct one, but they must have ordered the wrong one

The one that fits the square switch is for a 954. They had updates, the 929 did not. The 929 uses the same as a 900rr.
As you see, the 929 and 954 levers are different because of this. You need to get the right part or a 954 lever.

When getting stuff from the dealer, look up part numbers yourself first and compare. They always mess up and order the wrong parts. Honda called the 900, 929, and 954 all 900rrs. It must confuse them, because they always screw it up. After waiting a week it can be a drag. I had one guy tell me that they didn't make a 929, then said he found it and tried to sell me some parts that really fit some dirt bike!
