Default Cbr 929 rr overheating

Hi guys, i recently rebuild-sleeved the 954 engine, everything was fine, bike pulled strong as hell, but yesterday noticed on my way home, from 82c working temperature bike start to raise temperature very fast, came up to 98-100c and coolant starts to dripping under the bike, overflow bottle was full, later when bike was cool overflow is back to normal
Is it possible that the head gasket was gone after just 1000km since rebuild, head gasket was new, manufacture is Athena, or something else was problem? Right side hose from radiator is rock solid, but left side hose is maybe not hard as right, thermostat maybe? What first to check before removing engine head?

Thermostat would be a good start. Did you replace it during the rebuild?

Thermostat is good, i found a cooling fan was stuck, i fixed it , everything worked good, holding temp about 83-85 until i start driving it hard, normal drive to 160-170kmh no problem, once acceleration to 230kmh and it started to rise temp above 105+,maybe radiator cap cant hold pressure? Or dead head gaskets 😑

Yeap, head gasket was problem, now there's bigger question, i didn't put exhaust valve how is supposed to be, i was open not closed like supposed to be right way, and when it need to open at exact rpms, my valve get closed, so to much backed pressure maybe kill head gasket, exaust valves are.. Well see for yourself

Also, this ATHENA head gasket is made from 2 layers of metal, oem has 3, most likely ATHENA is f******g crap

Like i said, Athena make crap head gaskets!

Blow by between layers

Almost all good from outside, almost

Factory head gasket, 3 layers, two outside and another layer between cylinders.
I ordered oem, praying that the "oem" have 3 layers also, to give this old lady another chance, man.. she pulls like mad 🙆‍♂️

I checked head, straight like arrow

Hey,

Good luck!

I think the OEM gasket will be fine.

Hope you can enjoy the bike again soon!

Who did the motor work? Never heard of anyone having a 929/954 engine sleeved. I would suspect the steel sleeves will affect heat dissipation compared to stock cylinders with the special plating.
