Lightbulb Bike died and start right up no prob...and die again a little later

Hi, I have a 2001 cbr 929rr that i purchased 400 miles ago (1 week ago). Anyway...it died on me a few times while riding it. I look down and i remember the red light coming on when it dies. I hold the clutch in, and hit the ignition, and it will start right back up and keep going. I checked the battery terminals to make sure they had a good connection, and i found that the ground wire was loose. I'm not sure if that was the problem, but if not any ideas for me?

If you notice when they key is on and you switch the engine kill switch to run, the red light comes on momentarily. Since you saw it when the engine died, that tells me something in the kill switch circuit is shorting, just like you flipped the switch to off and then back on really fast (only a loose wire or bad switch is doing it for you) If this happens a lot you can splice the wires to the run setting and see if it behaves properly, then you will know the switch is bad.

I havnt got to ride it much lately because its been raining, but i did ride it some and havnt been able to duplicate the problem so im hoping it was just a loose ground wire on the battery terminal. Thanks for the advice and input, ill update the thread if the problem persists.

So i have not been able to duplicate the Problem. I guess the actually problem was in fact the ground wire on the battery terminal being lose.
thanks for the advice and input.
