What battery fits my bike? 2001 erion model. Also my highbeam cut out and came back on yesterday. Could this be because my battery died and my friend and I push started it? I mean because I rode about 30 min and the highbeam wouldnt come on but after about an hour of continous riding it came on and stayed on? Does this have anything to do with the battery not being charged and after it was ridin for awhile it charged up?

Just today a buddy of mine who has a 2001 600 said he heard that running a CBR at idle won't sufficiently charge the battery, you gotta ride it and get the RPMs up. I was surprized to hear that, cause with a car you can charge the batt fine at idle.

So I guess there could be something to your theory.

The alternators on these bikes are pretty simple, so when there's a charging problem I usually suspect the battery and connections first. Your dealer or owner's amnual is the best place to find the right battery, although I don't think there's that many different batts out there.

 

I can sell you a brand new one $75 shipped. I ordered one, got tired of waiting and bought another from the dealership. now i have two.
