Default 929 slow off the line..

I've asked about this before in the general tech, and a few others had the same problem but we never got a straight answer. anyway when going from a dead stop to moving the bike seems to bog down then grab and take off around 2500rpm i've tried reving past 2500 then dropping the clutch and same thing it feels like its ready to die then takes off. any ideas what this might be from?? or how to fix it?

never really had that problem with my 929 but I know on my gixxer I had to get a T.R.E. (timing retard eliminator) they say that on some bikes there is a low rpm stall or "timing retard" to keep from accelerating to fast from a stand still I put one on the gixxer and it helped a lot

ive noticed the same problem but i had a powercommander installed the day i got the bike, and rode it for almost 9 months like that until i loaded a map for the bike and its night and day i cant keep the front wheel down now. not to say the power commander gave the bike more power but the throttle response is insanly increased
so id try either to get a tune up or the powercommander

I know it blew my mind when I did my plugs and air filter - NGK's and OEM filter - amazing difference. The filter was a bit dirty, and the center electrode on the plugs was visibly eroded. Bike performed noticably better afterwards.

I have the same problem on my 929 and I am about to do a plug change, The bike has 8,800 on it. I'll post after the change and let you know how it goes and if it helps.

+1 on the powercomander. The throttle response is so much more crisp. Now my problem is keeping the front wheel on the ground at quick take offs. I also dropped the front sprocket down a tooth, which helps with the super low end pull.
