Default 929 newb

I just bought a 2001 929 that needs some work. The previous owner removed the stock exhaust(HTEV and up) and replaced it with a 954 exhaust. Starting from a stop the bike needs a little more throttle than usual to get it going(only based on experience from other bikes) and sounds like I'm launching at the strip. But after that the bike pulls smooth. Does this bike need to be mapped or could this be another issue? I do not have a PCIII on hand by the way. Another question is that the the bike was hit with a baseball bat and the headlight will not stay in place. I need to buy a headlight bracket but can't find it. Is it the upper front fairing stay that holds the headlight in place? Thanks

If your refering to a stuble on take off below say 2500-3000 rpms, This is fairly normal on these bikes. Most find a PCIII and a tune will take care of it.

The headlight has 4 clips where it bolts to the front upper fairing. If it was hit, i'd be willing to bet that the tabs broke off the fairing. Other than those 4 bolts, there is one more that holds in to the fairing stay on top.
